This is a very dainty carved piece of Martha's Vineyard wampum on a sterling silver Omega chain.
Wampum & sea glass are the treasures washed up by the waves on most beaches. Wampum is the purple & white natural design created inside the shell of a quahog. Native Indians used wampum in there jewelry and they traded these wearable's with other tribes to identify them as friendly or foe.
